| Chapter meetings: |
|
The Chapter conducts an annual business meeting every fall. Quarterly meetings are usually held in February, May, and November. These meetings are not required under our charter - and may optionally be scheduled or not depending on circumstances, etc. at the time. |

Work Sessions:
|
 |
The Chapter holds meetings / work sessions every Monday evening at 6:15 PM. Theses sessions are held either at the Temple Theater, downtown Meridian (24th Avenue at 8th Street) - use the ballroom entrance - or alternatively at another location as the Crew Chief directs. The location for the next meeting will usually be announced on the main page of this web site. |

Organization

| The Magnolia Theater Organ Society was founded in 1976 by a group of charter members (listed below) and organized as a Mississippi Corporation (EIN available upon written request). IRS tax exemption was granted effective July 23, 1976; recognized as a Public Charity under section 501 (c) (3) - and able to receive tax exempt deductible bequests, devices, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. |

Membership is open to everyone that has an interest in the preservation, performance, enjoyment of; and education about these instruments. Dues are $15 per household per year - and are used to defray the operating costs of the local chapter. Membership with - and support of - the American Theater Organ Society is highly encouraged, but not required. The Magnolia Chapter of ATOS is a not for profit organization (IRS non-profit under 501(c) (3)). Contributions are generally tax deductible - however amount, etc. may depend on your tax situation. See your tax attorney, accountant or consultant for specifics. We cannot provide tax advice.
